The wrong forum...

It's pretty clear to me that television commercials are not the place for a rational, reasoned discourse on any issue. I know that, but I am still - from time to time - amazed at what passes along my tv screen from time to time. And things just seem to be getting worse as we head toward election day.

• The War on Terror spot
• Joe Lieberman's sunset ad
• Stop Shuler ad (amatuer, admittedly)
• An Ohio governor's primary ad
• GA Governor Perdue's CSI ad
• LBJ's famous daisy ad
• Count Chocola ad
• The first Nancy Johnson atrocity
• Gigantic Chris Bell commercial

God help us all...and, just so you know, it was the first ad in the list that really got me disgusted, particularly in light of recent news.
